What is 100% Pure Mulberry silk?

Mulberry silk is the highest quality silk available for purchase. The unique thing about Mulberry silk is how it is produced. Mulberry silk has its history in Vietnam , where local farmers grow Mulberry trees and harvest the leaves for silkworms to feed on. The resulting cocoons are spun into raw silk fibers. Because the silkworms of the Bombyx mori moth are fed only Mulberry leaves, the resulting silk is some of the finest available in the world. Pure white in color and made up of individual long fibers, Mulberry silk is more refined than other types of silk. This Olive green silk is 100 % pure charmeuse silk.

I have visited local farm in the central of Vietnam where they grow mulberry plants to feed silk worms and seen the process of how to make this pure mulberry silk. I shared the pictures I took myself on this listing so you can have a look. This pure silk is delicate with luxurious look and has very smooth texture.

*Top grade silk: width 45'' or 114 cm

*Additional yard or meter will be cut in one continuous piece.

*Care Instructions:
- Hand wash or Dry cleaning is recommended for all silks.
- Don't iron silk too hot. Iron on low heat or silk setting. Don't spray water while ironing. Silk is a protein structure much like human hair. Heat will damage it.
- Never wash with bleach. It can damage the natural fibers
- Do not dry in direct sunlight. It can cause the colors fade.
- With dark colors, and wash separately for the first 2-3 times.
- Do not tumble dry. Silk is a very delicate and the high temperature can shrink or damage your silk.
- Use fabric softener and silk will get softener over time.
- How to remove stains from silk. Spot treat any stains with cool water and diluted solution of detergent. Test the solution on a part of the garment that's hidden or concealed, blot the stain with the solution before soaking. Be gentle when spot treating silk, as rubbing one spot too much can lighten the fabric. Please spend a little more care so you will enjoy your silk products for a very long time.
