Reiki is a Japanese healing modality that works with your bodies electromagnetic energy field to help you relax, recharge & balance on all levels – mentally, physically & emotionally. It can assist you to release any emotional pain, trauma, stress, anxiety & limiting beliefs as well as activate your body’s own natural healing abilities to promote overall well-being & recovery.

I don't usually meditate, do I need to for a healing session?

Some of us just aren't meditators - and that's perfectly OK. You don't have to meditate in order to receive healing. You may choose to simply find a quiet space to relax during your session, take a walk in nature, have a bath, listen to music or take a nap. The great thing about Reiki is it works on a subconscious level, & can even be sent while you are sleeping or going about your normal day. So do what feels right for you.

Is there anything I should do to prepare me for the session?

Generally I suggest 24hrs before your session try to refrain from alcohol, smoking, substances, or heavy unhealthy foods– this will help prepare your body to receive the energy & ultimately provide the greatest outcome for your highest good. Then simply be open to receiving the healing energy

How many sessions do you recommend

Everyone's healing journey is unique, my role is to assist & support your along the way. I am happy offer suggestions, or answer any questions. However, in the end the decision is up to you & how you feel. It can be helpful to know that reiki tends to have an accumulative effect on us & will go deeper the more relaxed & more sessions we have. It's a bit like seeing a physio or counsellor - often we feel good after a session, however it can still take a few sessions for things to fully clear/resolve

Is it 'normal' to cry or feel emotional during/after a session?

Absolutely! As we go through the healing process we can experience random thoughts, emotions & even a heightened dream state. Know this is completely normal as things tend to 'rise to the surface' as we move through & release them.

Can I gift a Reiki session to someone else?

Yes you can. However, due to the nature of free will & Reiki being non-invasive it's important the recipient is aware & wants to receive the healing, & are actively wish to focus on their wellbeing for a session to be most beneficial & effective.

How does cord cutting work?

Cord cutting is about releasing any ties to people, places, situations or events that aren't for your highest good or maybe preventing you moving forward in life. In the case of a person, this doesn't necessarily mean you'll never speak to or see them again. You may still be in contact, however have a healthier, more mutually beneficial relationship going forward.
