Leather Ray-Ban Wayfarer Case

This is specifically made for Ray-Ban Wayfarers with 50-52mm lenses. It fits the original and the Compact Folding Wayfarers (unfolded).

I prefer this case over the standard Ray-Ban case. It is very slim and fits in a shirt pocket without feeling bulky. The last picture is a side by side comparison of my case and the Ray-Ban case. The case pictured here is one that I personally carry and made for myself. The best part about leather is that it almost never wears out it just "wears in" and gets better with age. It will take about 3 days to process your order. Please ask about other colors for the leather dye and thread. Hand made out of high quality Vegetable Tanned Leather and stitched with waxed polyester Tiger Thread, the strongest thread I have found. Closure is a solid brass Sam Brown stud.

- The leather I use is 5-6 oz full grain leather. It's not cheap but it gives the best results. I've tried to use cheaper leather, but the quality just isn't the same. I use a 10-step process to get the finished results. Each piece is hand made and finished. There are no shortcuts.

Vegetable tanned leather is environmentally friendly. Most leather products use Chrome tanned leather which has toxic chemicals. Chrome tanning is significantly faster than vegetable tanning and can be done in less than a day. The use of heavy metal minerals, however, is often more damaging to the environment. Vegetable tanning uses tree bark or other plant tissues and can take several months. It is more expensive but the end result is worth it. So, I only use Vegetable tanned leather.
