Our family owns acreage where we harvest, hay, grain, corn and row crops. My farmer, husband and grandpa, placed a forklift on the back of his tractor to load the picked produce in buckets . After the picking is done the produce is boxed up ready to take to the farmer's market. This design was made to honor my farmer and all farmers everywhere who work constantly. I asked him the other day if row crop was harder than harvesting hay and grain and he said it was a lot more work ,but more satisfying to grow vegetables. All of our tractors are red,but you can make your tractor any color you like.
This design finishes at approximately 6 inches square. I hung it on Ackfeld Wire's 6 inch Pumpkin Arch Stand which we have for sale in this shop.
It would make a great pillow, or sewn to a basket or box. I used 16 colors of #12 Valdani Pearl Cotton. I put a pocket on the back so you can write a note to keep track when you made it. I also posted the wool version so you could see how it looks.
I hope you like our new design. It was fun to design something so close to our hearts. There is also a wool applique version , plus we are offering a wool kit, too.
