The answer is different depending on the item. Everything that is laser engraved can be personalized. For leather hides you can request a color shade and we can send you a picture before shipping or if you are buying 2 or more an actual sample. Please note that photos may vary from the actual color because of lighting, monitors/screens and cameras.

Is the Leather chrome tanned or vegan (vegetable tanned)

For the most part we do not buy leather direct from any manufacturer. They are remnants or extra hides from making furniture. (They may have bought 100 hides to made a particular couch that did not sell so we buy whatever they have left). As such we usually do not know whether the leather is chrome or vegan.

How thick is the leather?

The thickness varies but most of it is 4-8 oz or 1/16" to 1/8". The full hides are generally closer to 1/8 of an inch.

What size is the remnant (scrap) leather?

We offer various sizes but they are all irregularly shaped. The smallest pieces are around a 6" x 8" and the largest are usually around 18" x 20". The listings all have the size range for that particular listing.

Do you ever get bright colors?

Sometimes but it is rare. We are buying leather used to make furniture and most of it is not hot pink, yellow, bright blue, bright orange or neon green. We have a lot of browns, grays, whites, creams, dark blues and blacks.

Very soft leather, but only the top is dyed. The edges are almost white, and the lack of color shows up along the stitching lines.
