Our wooden spoons and cooking utensils are handmade by Amish artisans and craftsmen in rural, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Corner spoons are an excellent tool for sauteing vegetables or cooking a delicious stir fry. Designed for right-handed use, each spoon comes to a point in the top right-hand corner to allow you to easily access all areas of your pot or pan.
All Lancaster saute spoons are made from native domestic hardwoods including Black Walnut, Eastern Black Cherry, and Maple. Our lumber is harvested sustainably unlike some imported alternatives. These hardwoods have been traditionally used in American kitchens for generations, known both for their beauty and durability. Walnut has a dark brown to almost black color, while our cherry comes in deep red variations and our maple is a stark whitish tan.
Each saute spoon is preserved with food-grade mineral oil. We recommend applying butcher block oil or food-grade mineral oil periodically to your corner spoon to prevent it from drying out through regular use and washing. After each use, wash with soap and hot water.
