Childrens Book: My Dream For You is Wonder by Carole Ann Hausman, illustrated by Joanne Raptis

This series of children's books is designed to strengthen your bond as you read to your child or grandchild.

Some people ask me who I had in mind when I wrote these books. Well, here’s one answer:

At the hospital, about an hour after the birth of his first child, my friend Jason was asked, "What does it feel like to be a father?"

After a moment to really consider the question, his face softened and transformed with an expression that was simultaneously pride, fear, humility and delight. He thoughtfully replied, "I look at her, and I think about her life. I imagine what it's going to be like on her first day of school. I think about walking her down the aisle when she gets married."

He smiled and gently nodded his head. His expression became mostly pride at that moment.

Every person close to a child that has come into the world has so much hope for that little one. Lots of parents get into the habit of reading a bedtime story to their baby before the child is old enough to even understand the words. The My Dream For You books help build that connection and let that child know distinctly, with every read, how much they are loved.

As they get older and understand the words, children are enamored with the beautiful illustrations of all kinds of children being happy, and having little adventures and being kind to one another. Children can see themselves as some of the characters in the books and are so happy to see someone in a book that looks like them.

My dream for you is that you will share these books with the little ones in your life and enjoy those moments of reading together.
