When water is stored in a copper vessel, the copper releases some of it's ions in the water which are known to have health benefits.
These copper bottles are made by a landless hindu artisan community called Tathera of Rajastan, India. The production of these products empowers the community to preserve the rare craft of hand hammering metal using hand made tools. The bottles are made from 100 %copper.
