While we do our very best to provide you with a perfect sign, please use caution when handling. Depending on the design, sharp edges are possible. Properly secure your artwork on the wall. Keep in mind that bare metal signs will rust organically if you don't finish them. (Which is often done intentionally to achieve a rustic look) We also provide powder coat services that will do all of the work for you. A powder coated piece easily wipes down using just a damp cloth & is safe for outdoor display.

Custom and personalized orders

We accept custom/personalized orders! Custom powder coat colors and fonts available upon request. We'd love to help make your idea a metal reality. Provide us with a photo(s) of your inspiration or let us come up with something completely original for you. Custom orders are subject to a design fee. We can make ANY of our designs larger, however, not all designs are candidates to make smaller. Smaller pieces often result in loss of details. In other words, bigger is usually better. Contact us now for a custom size quote.

I received my package damaged. What should I do?

All of our signs are insured. In the event that you receive your order damaged, please photo it before and after opening it. This will ensure that filing a claim with USPS will go smoothly and expeditiously.

How can I use the digital files I purchase from Bad Dog Metalworks?

By purchasing this digital file, you are buying the right to create finished consumer products. You are NOT purchasing the right to resell or share the digital file. Bad Dog Metalworks retains full ownership of the file for resale purposes. You may NOT: Share, sell, or trade our files, even if modified. Display black and white image renders of our designs. Upload to POD (print on demand) services. Use our product photos, descriptions and titles. (However, unwatermarked renders are provided & can be used how you see fit.) When will my order ship?

Because each piece is custom made and depending on the quantity & finish you choose, your order will ship within 5-10 business days.

We ship free to the continental United States. If you live outside of the continental United States, please contact us for a shipping quote before purchasing.

I see your signs in lots of other shops. What's that about?

We don't just sell metal artwork. Our art was in such demand that we decided to sell our designs to other small businesses too! It's highly likely you'll see your favorite Bad Dog cuts all over the internet.

How do I hang my artwork?

Some of our signs come with mounting holes. This will reflect in the product photos. However, others do not. For those designs, you can use the cut-out areas to tuck small finishing nails. Please note, none of our artwork comes with sawtooth hangers on the backs.

Our files are designed to cut using 16-gauge steel with 45-amp Hypertherm fine cut consumables at book settings. While we do leave extra tolerance for a kerf width greater than fine cut, we don’t guarantee you can cut them in other materials, thicknesses, or using other consumables without having to resize.

Please note, all designs come with two dxf files. These are not different designs or revisions. They are alternate formats. Some machines will work with either, while other machines/software prefer specific DXF formats. If you have an issue, please try the included alternate dxf before assuming it's the file.
