How do I know my rings condition?

I only purchase pieces that I personally would wear for Decoration and each piece is inspected to ensure the settings are secure. Pieces may have wear in keeping with their age, as I only sell antique and vintage pieces. Any other condition notes that we know of (for example, chips to stones or dents to gold) will be communicated openly.

Will you accept a return on my ring?

Because I know how daunting it can be to purchase a significant item online (especially without trying it on first), I offer a full money back guarantee on all items purchased, including change of mind, with the following conditions: 1. If the customer is not 100% satisfied with their purchase for any reason they have 5 days to notify Decorations to explain the reason for return. 2. The item needs to be returned at the purchasers expense (including full insurance on the item) within 14 days of the purchase. Decoration will inspect the item to ensure no damage or changes have been made to the piece and will then process the full refund once they have deemed the item is in the original condition that it was sent to the purchaser in.

How does postage work?

Express postage is complimentary worldwide and your ring will be professionally (but discretely) packaged. Domestically, your ring will be posted fully insured with Australian Post Express with Signature and Tracking and will arrive within 1-3 working days. Internationally I use DHL Express with Signature and Tracking (5-10 working days) Both of these methods require your mobile number, so please ensure to provide this at check out. Because buying jewellery should be an exciting experience, each ring will be beautifully giftwrapped (complete with a ribbon), in a new antique style ring box.

Do you offer payment plans/lawaway options?

Yes, I do! Generally 3 equal monthly payments, with the first payable as a non refundable deposit. Please message me to create a plan for your ring.

Do you offer resizing?

Because we are a full-service store, resizing is complimentary for any ring purchase. I work with a wonderful bench jeweller of considerable experience and skill, that I trust completely with my antique pieces. If you do wish to have your ring resized to fit you, please let me know prior to check out, so I can double check if the resize is achievable and I can also give you an idea of timeframes for the resize to be completed. If your ring is resized by me, you ring will no longer be returnable and the return policy is void.

Can I request additional videos or photos of my ring?

Etsy allows me to upload only one video per listing, so additional videos are posted to my Instagram account decorationjewellery. Following my instagram is also a good way to get a SNEAK PEAK of new items before they are listed on Etsy. I am very fortunate that a lot of my items get snapped up on Instagram by my loyal followers before I even get a chance to list them on Etsy.

How do I know if my country will charge import tax or duty?

Generally Etsy will charge the appropriate fees for your country upon checkout. But if you're worried, you can find more help and information here: htttps://www.etsy.com/help/article/5023. I am not liable for any Custom duties or sales taxes incurred.

How do you authenticate your pieces?

For your peace of mind, each piece of jewellery has been professionally graded by registered jewellery appraisers and will be accompanied by a professional valuation certificate. Upon purchase the Condition Report pictured in each listing will be will updated into a valuation in your name and it will accompany your ring, ready for you to provide to your insurance company. For gems of significant provenance (such as unheated rubies and sapphires and natural pearls) they will have been sent for advanced gem labs and will have their lab reports included with purchase.

This Art Deco Engagement Ring, is a classic style, which will not date.

At its centre and the hero of the piece, is an exceptional old transitional cut diamond. It is .65 carat, with incredible colour and clarity (G, VS).

The transitional (early modern brilliant) cut of diamond can be hard to find and ensures you are buying an authentic Art Deco piece. Transitional cut diamonds mark the change from European cut diamonds to the modern brilliant cut and were only produced for a short time frame. They were generally cut a little more symmetrically then most European cut diamonds, but still display the old world hand cut charm of old cuts.

The delicate contrast of metals with this ring is subtly and expertly done. It means you can wear any type of metal as the accompanying wedding/eternity band and really have fun mixing it up.

The main band of the ring is comprised 18ct yellow gold. It is contrasted by white gold around the diamond and the stepped shoulders. These stepped shoulders really elevate the ring, as they are adorned with diamonds and catch the light to sparkle beautifully.

Upon purchase, please provide me with your phone number. I use DHL Express to post internationally and they require your phone number before they will accept your booking. This is to ensure a smooth delivery can occur and they can contact you if necessary.

Domestically, I use Australia Post’s Platinum Express service. I recommend providing your phone number, also for ease of delivery.

Please note, this ring will be filmed as it is packaged and postage will be tracked with signature upon delivery for your safety.

I accept returns for any reason (I know it is hard to shop online for such significant items). In the rare event of such a return, I require notification within 5 days and to have the item returned within 14 days. You will be required to meet the cost of the return shipping (fully insured, tracked, and signed for).

*I don’t accept returns on a ring that has been re- sized. If you do require a resize (or just to check if a resize is possible) I work with a highly skilled local jeweller with 40+ years of experience.

You are liable to cover any import/customs/tax charges that may be incurred as a result of your purchase and Etsy may automatically charge you some or all of these fees at checkout (depending on your country of origin).

My Instagram account is a great way to see this ring in alternative videos and also to view new items before they make it onto the Etsy shop.

Please note, one of the side diamonds has a minuscule chip, which is not visible to the naked eye (or even possible to distinguish in these enlarged images) - Completely normal in an item of this age (and it doesn’t diminish the beauty of the ring), however it can be replaced for a minimal cost if you desire.
