Eco-friendly, vegan, and biodegradable, this shampoo bar is designed specifically for individuals with damaged or thinning hair to encourage more natural oil production, moisturize the scalp and hair, and stimulate hair growth.
HOW TO USE: Rub the bar vigorously between your wet hands to develop a lather and then massage soap into hair with your hands or rub the bar directly on your hair, and repeat this process until ALL of your hair is lathered in soap. This process may take a while to get used to as the bar is designed to last and not disintegrate after one use. Once you're confident that the soap is all over your hair, rinse it out with water. If you're unsure if all of your hair was covered in soap the first time, don't be afraid to wash your hair with the soap again. Rinse soap out well with water. This soap is for external use only.
POST-SHAMPOO: For damaged or thinning hair, while you don't need conditioner, you may follow-up with the conditioner of your choice or Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse (see below). Use a cotton t-shirt to dry your hair instead of a towel. Always comb wet hair with a wide-tooth comb.
I recommend pairing the shampoo bar with Wishing Well's Wish & Grow Hair Oil or Split End Serum that can be applied to damp or dry hair - just be sure to use an appropriate amount so that your hair doesn't appear greasy.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RINSE: A mixture of 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and 8 ounces of water. Feel free to double the recipe if you have long hair. You can also use lemon juice instead of Apple Cider Vinegar.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR BAR LAST: When the bar is not in use, be sure to keep it dry, I highly recommend using a soap saver or sisal soap bag. Personally, I remove my bars from the shower and I recommend storing them in a bathroom cabinet, closet, or with your cosmetics in another room. Another method of increasing the longevity of your bar is to cut it into pieces - halves, thirds, quarters, whatever works for you and keeping the sections you aren't using completely dry and in another room.
The shampoo bar is unscented - the bar smells like nettle leaf, and if you dislike the smell don't worry, it dissipates once your hair dries.
*Note: it does take a while to get used to using natural hair products and shampoo bars*
