To get the most from your candles, follow these simple steps:

1. The first time you light your candle is crucial to its lifespan. For the initial burn, let the candle burn until the melt pool reaches the edge of the container and is approximately 1/4" deep. With each subsequent burn, allow the melt pool to reach the container's edge before extinguishing. This will prevent tunneling and enhance the scent throw of your candle.
2. Always trim your wick to 1/4" before lighting your candle.
3. Ensure your candle is placed on a heat-resistant surface when burning.
4. Avoid moving your candle while it's burning or the wax is still liquid.
5. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
6. Do not allow pets or children access to lit candles.

A candle's fragrance is typically made up of three different notes: top notes, middle notes, and base notes. The combination of these three notes creates a lasting and appealing fragrance.

The top note is the initial impression you get when you first smell a candle or remove the lid. It is the most volatile, meaning it will evaporate the quickest.

The middle note is the "heart" of the fragrance, and it can take 10 to 20 minutes for the middle notes to fully develop. When you burn a candle, the middle notes are the most prominent.

Finally, the base note, also known as the "dry down," is what gives a candle its lasting qualities. It is the scent that lingers even after the candle has been extinguished.
