This is a classic plaid LIGHTWEIGHT Golden Dawn Wool Blanket
It's so long and such a lightweight and thin wool that it may have been used for double the warmth by doubling it over. Just uniquely lovely blanket for its fixes, its size, its plaid and colors, its name label, and its show of having received much love!
Satin red blanket edging on ends...and shows this MAY have been added? Not sure, but its fixes give it so much CHARACTER!

NOTE: We'd rec'd this blanket from an older relative (without its backstory) and have used it for 50+ years now, kept it clean and dry cleaned, had fixing plans, but hadn't yet done those needed fixes. This LOVELY WOOL lightweight blanket definitely now has some "PLEASE FIX-ME" needs and, though I had great plans long ago, life has not allowed me time. Just kept using it anyway because it's so lightweight and long and warm! This blanket's needs are well worth its needs for a bit of patching and some edge fixes. Oh, and it had some fixes along the way before we owned it...even the suggestion that it may well have been a longer blanket originally, given a small approx 1" x 5" patch from the same plaid wool. It's along a side edge:
This blanket's red satin edging was fixed at some point but now needs more TLC.
There are a couple of tiny holes - see photos - and a rather large hole that needs a clever patch.
OR HERE'S a plan I'd planned but haven't yet gotten around to doing: Cut it to make two lovely classic plaid lightweight warm covers - a shorter bed blanket AND a small lap blanket!
