Highlights
Activated Charcoal is used in medicine to trap toxins. It is used to treat poisonings, applied to bandages to help heal wounds. It is used in soap to deep clean oils and impurities from pores. This makes Activated Charcoal particularly beneficial for oily skin. Many people use Activated Charcoal soap to help eliminate acne. However, I can't guarantee that this soap will cure acne. Acne has multiple causes and greatly varies from person to person. A soap that helps one person might not have the same effect on another person. What you can expect is a thorough clean without dryness or irritation.
Because of the deep cleaning action of Activated Charcoal, care must be taken with Activated Charcoal soap not to leave the skin dry and irritated. This is why I designed this soap to have an abundance of gentle cleaning oils and butters. I started with Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil that creates a small bubble creamy lather, then added Organic Coconut Oil to boost the volume of the lather. Next I added an ample amount of Organic Shea Butter to soothe and moisturize. Finally, I topped it off with a bit of Organic Castor Oil to help sustain the lather. I was quite happy with the deep cleaning of this soap while it left my skin moist and comfortable. I hope you enjoy it too.
