Our artisans were able to carry on earning an income during the very strict Cambodian covid lockdown rules, providing an income in a country where many could not work and wages are very low. Many of our artisans are disabled, victims of landmines and polio. There is an estimated 2.7 million tons of landmines or unexploded devices in Cambodia after the notorious Khmer Rouge regime.
