Kitten and Leaf is an original handmade linocut print. This little kitty is totally absorbed by the leaf that has drifted down and landed close by. Everything in a kitten's world is a source of wonder... and maybe fun!

Kitten and Leaf is printed with Lawrence linseed oil ink (which is free from animal-based ingredients and is cleaned up using vegetable oil) on beautiful cream coloured archival quality 145gms Zerkall paper, manufactured by the fourth generation of the Renker famil. The Zerkall Mill is located in the valley of the small river named Kall in the hilly countryside south of the city of Dueren between Cologne and Aachen. Its history can be traced back to the 16th century when official documents mention the existence of a water driven mill for the first time.

Dimensions: Paper – height 13.5cms width 19cms / image approx. height 9.5cms width 10cms. This print is one of a limited edition of 100. Since each print bears a different edition number, the number of your print (e.g. 3/100) may not be the one shown in the photographs.

Please note that as these are printed by hand, small variations can occur. This is not a flaw, but rather an inevitable outcome of the handmade process. This print is shipped unframed and unmounted so you can choose yourself how to display it. It can be framed with a mount or floated to display the four deckle edges of the paper. Your print will be shipped in a sturdy flat manilla envelope and wrapped in glassine to protect the surface. Both can be reused, recycled or composted..

John was really helpful and included a card which I asked for with a quote for my friend. She phoned me and was so pleased with her print that I framed for her. She said it is in her snug room where she sits with her cat. Lovely artwork indeed.
