My Bird Skull and Feather necklace - how it took me so long to put these two together, I have no idea. They looked great by themselves. But together? Meant to be.

The Raven Skull is a firm favorite. There’s plenty of detail here and although there’s an area of solid bronze at the base of the skull below the eyes and again at the beak, the rest of the skull is largely hollow, just like the real thing. The bail (that's the small hoop at the back of the skull) is incorporated into the design and the skull hangs off a generous jump ring which gives the raven a beautiful movement.

The Feather''s just naturally elegant, and although it’s made from solid bronze there’s a real lightness to it too. This is another of my wife’s designs and her delicate touch is all over this piece. I really wanted to make it as lifelike as possible, both on the back and front, and added the little spiralling detail on the top of the piece as a way of making it my own.

The Raven Skull measures just over 1" from the back of skull to the tip of the beak, and about 1/2" at its widest point. The Feather measures 2 1/4" long and just under 1/2" wide.

Both are carved entirely by hand, cast in the finest solid bronze and finished by hand. A patina is then applied to the pendants to give them a great vintage look and also to bring out all the fine details. Finally, a special process is applied to stop the bronze from tarnishing. It's quite a job.

The raven skull and feather come on your choice of chain or leather - all leather necklaces are adjustable and come with our signature Lost Apostle clasp (shown in the last photo).
