While visiting Crater Lake National Park in Oregon, we decided to stay out late and try and catch the Milky Way. There is a different kind of peace when you are out by yourself under the stars. While most people and animals hunker down and go to sleep, us "night owls" come alive. Nothing compares to looking up at a beautiful night sky while deer are feeding and walking nearby and real night owls are hooting in the nearest trees. It is quite the experience.
