This is a beautiful poetry book, made of a stiff card cover in the colors of red and gold with a rose flower pattern around the title. The book is held together by a red ribbon. From Day to Day with The Poets, compiled by Mary E. Salisbury. Published by Barse and Hopkins N.Y. There is a lovely portrait of of Ralph Waldo Emerson with tissue paper a page before the cover page. This seems to be a first edition copy of this poetry book. I have found no other like it.
From January first through December 31st is a poem by various poets. There are 126 pages which are in perfect condition. The red ribbon that holds this beautiful book together is a bit frayed, but still holding all the pages in place with no tears. There is the previous owners name neatly written on the inside cover page. Included with this lovely book are 2 postcards from 1914 that were in the book when I purchased it. I felt it they needed to be with the book as found.
