Single colour waterslide decal sheets, suitable for use on ceramics or fused glass. Cut your decal to any shape you want, by hand or using a craft punch or cutting machine. Limitless possibilities!

Each sheet is approximately 23cm x 33cm

Application instructions:
1. Fill a shallow bowl or dish with room temp water. Cut decal to size.
2. Soak the decals (one at a time) until it starts to uncurl.
3. Remove from the water (before it comes away from the backing paper) and allow to rest for a moment until the decal slides around on the backing paper.
4. Make sure you're applying to clean ceramics or glass - ensure no dust or grease.
5. Pick up the decal AND the backing paper together and slide the decal from the paper on to the item. When the decal is placed where you want it, hold one edge and remove water and air bubbles from under the decal using a squeegee or paper towel.
6. Remove surface water by wiping (carefully!) with kitchen roll. Check the position - once dried it won't move!!
7. Allow to dry for 4 to 8 hours before firing. If you notice any air bubbles after it has dried, pierce with a pin and use the squeegee to flatten them.
8. If applying several decals, change the water frequently.

Firing instructions - ceramics:
1. Vent your kiln up to 500c/932f to ensure smoke can leave the kiln in the early stages of firing.
2. There is no set ramp rate, a steady consistent rise is recommended, between 180c and 300c per hour up to the top temp. Earthenware 780c-800c (1436f – 1472f), China 820c-835c (1508f – 1535f), Stoneware – 840c (1544f), Porcelain – 830c-860c (1526f – 1580f)
3. Cool as standard.

Firing instructions - art glass
1. Vent your kiln up to 500c/932f to ensure smoke can leave the kiln in the early stages of firing.
2. Make sure the decal is not trapped between layers, as smoke from residue will be unable to escape.
3. Firing temp is recommended from 720c - 740c (1326f - 1346f). Any higher and the colours may become muted.
4. For bullseye glass, I recommend firing the piece fully, then applying the decal, then firing to tac fuse temperatures. Experimentation may be necessary to find what works for you and your materials and the effects you wish to achieve.
