The Tree of Life Wallhanging uses raw-edge applique techniques and includes instructions for multiple mitered borders and flanged bindings. The pattern is simple enough for beginners, but the opportunities for embellishment and techniques provide a fun pattern for experienced quilters. This quilt makes a great gift for a wedding, a baby shower, or an anniversary - any occasion that celebrates life! Finished size 38 x 38 inches.

This pattern was originally developed in 1999 when I was a nurse with HospiceCare Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin. A tree with a falling leaf was the hospice logo and represents the cycle of life. I began the quilt in 1999 but over time, the project was put in a drawer and stayed there until 2019, when I pulled it out for an Unfinished Object (UFO) challenge. The name and logo of the hospice have changed, but Agrace Hospice has the same mission of partnering with patients and families to improve quality of life throughout serious illness. With their permission, I have created this design to honor the hospice mission. A portion of all sales is donated to Agrace https://www.agrace.org/

This is an excellent pattern. I appreciate that the pattern was given in full size for printing as I have problems enlarging patterns in my little printer. The directions are clear and easily interpreted. I'm very pleased overall.
