Offered is a wonderful genuine Baltic amber necklace circa 1980's. The necklace is gorgeous and unique! The chain on either side measures 8 inches (for a total of 16 inches. The drop of the necklace at its highest point is 2.2 inches, and the pendant is 2.2 inches wide. The 4 genuine amber cabs (2 orange and 2 green) are set well, and the overall item is high quality. This will look amazing with just about everything in your wardrobe!

The item may come with a coating of patins. Many people appreciate their antique jewelry with this lovely coating (myself included); however, some prefer a shinier piece. Therefore, we never polish antique jewelry as it is an individual decision. Currently, the chain is dull and has a needs to be polished. It will arrive this way. As stated above, it is an individual decision to polish the patina or not. Please DO NOT DIP this in silver polish as it will cloud the amber cabs. Either use a polishing cloth or have it professionally cleaned at a jeweler.

WE DO NOT REMOVE PATINA AND TARNISH FROM ITEMS. I repeat: we do not remove patina and tarnish from any of our pieces. The patina on all the pieces takes years, if not decades, to develop. Some people prefer it, others do not. Due to the length of time it takes pieces to develop this unique sign of age and authenticity, we do not remove it from pieces. It is up to the buyer to do so. This means it is the buyer's responsibility to carefully clean the pieces (or take it to a jeweler to have cleaned) if they would like their piece polished to like-new condition. We can provide care instructions on how to clean a piece but all items will be shipped out in all of their tarnished, aged glory.
