This pattern is very versatile, giving you the option to mix the pattern pieces to create as many variations as you can imagine.

The three basic styles of a Regency dress common to the early 1800 period are included with this pattern.

Style A features a square front neckline with full length sleeves that are decorated with 3 tiny pleats above the elbows. The dress skirt has a flat panel front with a gathered back. It closes along the center back with hook and loop fastener. You could choose to use buttons or snaps.

Style B has a front yoke inset, gathered at the sides and is square at the front neck. It has 2 piece sleeves with an upper sleeve gathered at the shoulders and a second gather just above the elbows attached to a tight fitting lower sleeve. It has a flat panel front skirt and a long gathered back skirt with a flowing train. It closes at the center back seam with hook and loop fastener.

Style C has a rounded neckline with 3/4 length sleeves. The dress skirt has a flat panel front with a full gathered back skirt. It closes with hook and loop fastener along the center back seam.

The dress usually was worn with a chemisette underneath around the neck. Two styles of chemisettee are included.

The simple Style A Chemisette is trimmed down the center front with lace, embroidered flowers, or any trim of your choice. Style B Chemisette has two pleats sewn down either side of the center front and decorated with small daisy style trim. Both chemisettes are finished at the neck with bias tape and close at the center back with hook and loop fastener. The waistline has a roll hem casing threaded with satin ribbon and sewn at the center front and back to prevent the ribbon from being lost. The chemisettes tie at the sides and also slip over the doll's head.

An optional scarf, used in place of the chemisette, can be sewn with just overcast stitching. Instructions for cutting and finishing included.

Pattern has been sized to an AG doll that measures 10 3/8 " at the waist, 11" at the chest and 13 inches from shoulders to the floor.
