A nice early Weller art pottery vase with a raised flower, leaf and stem decoration. Though originally thought to be an early Peters and Reed product recent scholarly research from pottery scholars and authors have indicated this line was most likely produced by Weller pottery.

This brown high glaze sprigged pattern dates to the circa 1915-1920 era.

It is glazed with the traditional dark and lighter brown standard glaze tones with two areas of raised green flowers and stems on the sides.

The vase is in nice original condition with no chips or cracks evident.

It measures 5"t all and 5.25" wide.

The base is glazed over and unsigned but we can see it is made from dark clay.

This art pottery vase is all original and we note some light crazing in places and a few pin points in the glaze as made. A few light scuffs are seen from past long term storage.

A great early piece to add to your vintage art pottery collection.
