Listing is for three pieces of Tjärved. Other items pictured are not included but shown for demonstration purposes only. These multi use hand-cut Appalachian Eastern Pine smoke wands, or "tjärved", harvested from snow and ice felled trees, make a beautiful alternative to palo santo with roots in Northern European folk magic smoke cleansing rituals. There are hundreds of tall pines on my land, with several claimed by the elements each winter. Inside, there is a resinous heart, that when lit burns for a great length of time. Each wand will last for several uses depending on your usage. Cut to approximately 8" tall and about half an inch to 3/4 an inch thick. Thicker pieces will take longer to catch fire so don't worry if it doesn't ignite immediately. It will make a big beautiful flame and lots of smoke with minimal patience. Occasionally I may throw in a few extra pieces of smaller sticks with your order.
