Seller's description
Here are 5 grams of antique and tiny size 16/0 cut cylinder seed beads. They’re a clear transparent bead, lined with a nutmeg brown core.
MATERIALS, MEASUREMENTS & QUANTITIES
✭ Material = glass
✭ Size = 16/0
✭ Quantity = 5 grams (loose)
These old Italian glass seed beads were manufactured between the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s. These are old ‘cut beads’, with a tube or cylinder shape. They’re a tiny size 16/0 bead, which allows for fine detail & resolution. These hand made antiques show greater variance in size and shape than contemporary beads.
These beads are very, very small. I recommend them for experienced beadworkers, extremely patient people, or those who enjoy a good challenge. When strung, there are about 26-30 beads per inch. The diameter averages approximately 1.32 mm.
This listing is for a 5 gram bag of the color shown alone in the first several photos. For a sense of scale, please reference the photo with a baggie, dime and rulers. There is also a size chart that shows how small they are.
