**CANADIAN CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE** - PRICES INCLUDE GST!
This listing is for a pattern that's been hand-drawn on Monk's Cloth. It includes a colour photo of a finished punch needle panel and complete instructions including tips for punching and directions for sewing the stocking.
Skill level: This pattern assumes you do have some experience with punch needle but once you've mastered "keeping the stitches in" you'll be fine with the skill level of this pattern.
**NO YARN IS INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING**
The Gracie Christmas Stocking is a Kussen and Kiss original. The finished stocking measures 13"(33 cm) long and 10" (25 cm) wide. The bold, stylized leaf is modern but timeless and looks great whether your holiday style is cozy and traditional or minimal and chic!
**IMPORTANT** Please choose carefully:
You will need to choose what size of Monk's Cloth will best fit your frame. Please use the first drop-down menu for this.
Prices are based on the amount of cloth used.
You also have the option of having the toe point left or right. Please use the second drop-down menu for this.
YOU WILL ALSO NEED:
- yarn in three colours. Exact yardage is almost impossible to give. The coverage you achieve will depend on the weight (thickness) of your yarn, the bloom (fluffiness) of your yarn and your punching style. A rough estimate would be:
outline, 10 yards
leaves, 70 yards
background, 37 yds.
- a frame to work on
- monk's cloth or other foundation cloth
- a punch needle - I use an Oxford #10 Regular, you can use the tool you prefer but be aware a different tool may change the appearance of your work and may affect the amount of yarn needed
- fabric for the back of the stocking - approximately 18" (45 cm) x 15" (38 cm)
- a sewing machine (zipper foot is helpful) and thread
- an iron
- a permanent marker
- twill or heavy ribbon for hanging loop - approximately 6" (15 cm)
*optional* - bias tape - approximately 18" (45 cm)
In the examples shown in this listing, I chose to highlight the "negative space" (background) by using colour there and punching the leaf shapes in a natural white but any colour combo would be lovely.
