Silver should always be stored out of the light and air when not worn. Try to prevent it being exposed to creams and perfumes.
Silver will tarnish. If it has a shiny finish then you can use a silver polishing cloth.
The matte finish has an e-coating that retards tarnishing, but when that wears off you should use a silver dip such as Haggarty. Pearls do not like the dip. Only dip for about 3 counts and then rinse thoroughly.
