Highlights
This is an original woodcut print called "Precipice." The print was hand-pulled from a small edition of 30.
details:
•green printmaking ink on cream fine art paper
•signed and numbered under the image
•image size: 6"W x 6"H
•paper size: 11"W x 14”H
the process:
After drawing my design, the image is carved into wood using chisels and gouges. Once the carving is complete, ink is rolled onto the surface of the block. Next, paper is placed on top of the block, and I use a hand tool to apply pressure, forcing the ink onto the paper. The result is the reverse image transferred to paper. Each image is printed by hand, please embrace slight variations :)

I'm a full time artist with a BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design, where I majored in drawing and painting, working primarily from life and the nude figure. My work is inspired by nature, my everyday surroundings, and a collection of old photographs. I show in galleries and exhibitions in addition to selling directly from my studio.

This is a beautiful print and we are so happy we purchased it. The kind note enclosed from the artist detailed the inspiration for the image and was so thoughtful. Our framer added a little note slot in the back of the dust jacket to keep with the work.
