The sealed container that keeps syringes from drying out and wasting your precious metal clay! Designed by Linda Stiles Smith - me! - out of a need to preserve my silver metal clay in the syringe until I used them up. Working with multiple syringes at a time could result in a costly loss if they all dried up!

Made in my studio with jars made in the USA, there is nothing else like it on the market! Anyone who works extensively with the fine work of extruded syringe type silver clay needs one of these on their work bench!



My original tool introduced in 2006, is still the most popular syringe holder around! Why? It works!

The glass jar provides a stable, solid base for holding your syringes.



The four hole lid means you can store up to 4 syringes with different size tips at the ready. TIPS MUST BE KEPT UNDER WATER TO KEEP THE CLAY FRESH AND PLIABLE.

 I use distilled water.

The secure plastic lid retains the water level in the jar to keep syringes perfectly hydrated with no threat of drying out when all the holes are plugged with syringes or the supplied corks.



Any residue in the jar from the tips is a result of natural capillary action in the water. This is natural and is fully reclaimable by pouring into a dish and allowing the water to evaporate then scraping the dried clay into your recycle dish.



PLUS! I have included an expandable sponge insert to rest the tips on if desired. Some users prefer this method to delay the capillary action of the clay. As long as the sponge is fully wet the clay will be kept useable but it does not stop the capillary action of the syringe. HOWEVER clay will accumulate in the sponge and be less recoverable. A template for the sponge is included in the jar.



***NOTE: It is recommended that you monitor the water level if you will be leaving full syringes in the jar unatended for long periods of time. There is a slow evaporation action that will deplete the water level and could result in dried out syringes.
