How fragile are the mini books?

All paper-made items are fragile in the sense that they should not be worn outside or in wet conditions as ink may run or pages may disintegrate. However, the mini books have a thin layer of varnish on the cover for protection. Nevertheless I recommend to keep the mini book jewellery away from rain and water.

Do you take custom orders of books to turn into mini book jewellery?

If you have a particular book you would like as a mini book pin/brooch or as a pair of earrings, please get in touch with me. I may be able to create a custom order for you, as long as the book in question is a classic that is out of copyright. For newer titles, I may be able to custom-design a cover for you, though. We can discuss particulars via messages.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes, I can wrap your purchased item as a gift. For such items that are requested as gift-wrapped, the invoice is replaced with an Etsy acknowledgment that does not contain the purchase price of the item. You can also request a message to be hand-written by me on a tag that will accompany the presentation pocket.

Do the mini books contain text/printed pages?

While the all mini books - both for brooches and for earrings - contain individual pages, they are NOT printed with text.

How are the orders packaged?

All my items are packaged in my own hand-made, unique presentation pockets that contain a hand-written thank you from me as well as the Etsy invoice. All items are packaged carefully - either in bubble or hard-backed envelopes or cardboard boxes - to avoid damage in transit. Journals and paper packets are packaged in plastic pouches to protect against water damage.

Can I track my order?

Standard shipping is included in the purchase price. However, this does not include tracking. Tracking is available as an additional shipping option at a fee of €7. You can avail of this option in the check-out process.

This is a hand-made tiny book with real pages, made into a brooch. The cover displays the first edition look of the book, and there is even a mini version of the original's fly leaf at the front. The pages inside can be turned, but they are NOT PRINTED WITH THE TEXT. The book cover, spine and back are made from card stock, making the mini book slightly sturdier. A broach pin is stuck on the back.

2.1 x 2.7 cm

Please be aware that this is a handmade item that has deliberately been aged to look like a coveted, much loved book. The book can be opened, but bear in mind that the pages could fall out if the spine got broken. Also, because this is a paper item, it is not advised to wear this broach outside on a coat, or to expose it to rain.
