This is a large Owl nesting box. This box will work for Barred owls as well as Great Horned Owls. The box is made of 4/5” solid wood (no plywood that will go bad in a year or two). I have added 5/8” cedar on the sides and 3/4” on the roof. The box is 26 1/2" tall and 14" long as well as almost 11 1/2" wide. The opening is 6" in diameter. I add kerf cuts on the inside to help young birds exit the nest. I have added a predator guard on the outside to help with security of the young birds. There are multiple holes in the bottom to help with drainage. This box has two rails for perching below the opening. I have also painted this camouflage green to help it blend into the foliage. The color variations may vary from photo. Simply because of paint supply issues. If you have any questions please message me. There are no refunds on these items as these are handmade to order.
