Many of the items I sell are vintage and are over 50 years old. Please remember that vintage clothing by its nature is not new, and will usually have some signs of wear and a patina of age that vintage aficionados appreciate as part of its charm. I do try to identify and point out any noticeable flaws or structural issues, so that you can make an informed buying decision. Realistic expectations are appreciated, and because I know that condition can sometimes be subjective, please refer to the condition chart below for a clear outline of my condition definitions to avoid disappointment. These definitions include items which have been restored to excellent, very good or good condition (for example have had broken zippers replaced, or seams reinforced). Any visible repairs (e.g. a darned or patched tear) will be mentioned in the description.

Mint ---- Item is in pristine unused / unworn condition, possibly in original packaging, and shows no sign of age.
Excellent vintage ---- Item shows only minimal sign of age/wear.
Very good vintage ---- Item shows very little sign of wear, with no major visible or structural flaws. Wearable with care.
Good vintage ---- There will be signs of wear/use, and some flaws. Wearable with care or after some repair.
Fair ---- Obvious signs of wear, including damage as detailed in description.
Poor ---- Significant damage, requires restoration.
New ---- Modern, brand new, not vintage.

Colours are described to the best of my ability and will display accurately on my monitor. I can't guarantee how it will look on your monitor, however, so if exact color is a concern, please contact me.

Belts, accessories and petticoats shown in images are for style inspiration only, and are not included unless specified. Some are for sale separately and others are from my personal wardrobe.

Size estimates are just that - estimates - based on the measurements of garments. To ensure proper fit, use the measurements we provide of the garment itself (remember that they should be slightly larger than your body measurements to allow for "wiggle room"). Try comparing the measurements of our garment to one you own that has the kind of fit you like. Sorry, I don't take returns on vintage clothing for fit. All descriptions and attributions as to the age of an item are my opinion only, arrived at from my experience in handling vintage clothing and antiques, and given in good faith. I am, however, by no means an expert in all fields and am always open to correction.
