Tools and supplies:
1. About 35 cm (about 13.8 inch) of 18 gauge (1.0 mm) round half hard wire.
This tutorial shows copper wire, but it can also be silver or brass
2. If you want to oxidize the wire you’ll need liver of sulfur, fine steel wool and polishing cloth.
3. Nylon jaw pliers.
4. Chain nose pliers.
5. Round nose pliers.
6. Flush cutters.
7. Pen mandrel.
8. Steel bench block.
9. Chasing hammer
10. Marker/ felt-tip pen
11. Ruler.

I haven't had a chance to actually try the directions in this tutorial yet but I am anxious to do so!!! The pictures are excellent: up-close & very clear!!!! That is very important for me! As a beginning wireworker, the tips for hammering wire (for example) are insightful! I gave this tutorial only 4 stars simply because I haven't been able to try the instructions with my own two hands yet!
