No. Our products are manufactured from 304 stainless steel, which contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. This type of stainless steel is non-magnetic, it withstands rusting, it is resistant to food processing environments (except for possibly high temperature conditions involving high acid and chloride contacts), it resists organic chemicals, dyestuffs and a wide variety of inorganic chemicals.

No. What you need to know is that there is magnetic (400 series) and non-magnetic (300 series) stainless steel. 400 series stainless is not as durable or corrosion (rust) resistant as 300 series and costs significantly less. If you want durability in your stainless steel, put a magnet on it. If the magnet sticks, don't buy it.

Yes. The finish of our stainless steel matches stainless steel appliances. The brush finish or #4 brush finish or 180 grit finish is the finish on most stainless steel appliances.

The simplest way to cut some of our products to a different length then our stock length is to use a metal hacksaw and a metal file to deburr the cut metal. Other methods include using a right angle grinder with a metal cut-off disk followed by using a sanding disk to deburr the cut metal followed by using an 80grit scotch pad to remove any discoloration caused by the heat during cutting. Lastly, you can cut stainless steel with a laser-cutter or water-jet cutter. You should always wear safety glasses when cutting metal.

You should always start drilling a hole in stainless steel using a pilot drill bit such an 1/8" diameter drill bit followed by the hole you want to drill so as to not burn out your drill bit and heat harden the metal, which will be next to impossible to drill afterwards if that happens. Typically, depending how big of a hole you want to drill, you may need to step drill the hole such as using an 1/8" pilot, then 1/4" drill bit then 3/8" and so forth. Remember not to use the highest speed available on your drill. If the metal is not being cut by the drill bit easily, it is probably because the drill bit is dull. Ordinary metal cutting drill bits will do the job and there is no need for expensive exotic material drill bits.

Yes. With a very limited exception, all of the products that we sell can be requested to be custom made with specific customer dimension requirements.

Yes. We are a full service custom metal fabricator. We require a sketch or a photo of your installation with basic dimensions. Taking photos of your tape measure is acceptable. We will work with you and draw or model your request. Our custom metal fabrication services include, but are not limited to, cutting, shearing, notching, laser cutting, bending, punching and MIG or TIG welding.

20ga = .036" = .95mm
18ga = .048" = 1.27mm
16ga = .060" = 1.59mm
14ga = .075" = 1.98mm
12ga = .105" = 2.78mm
11ga = .120" = 3.18mm

You will need some sort of smooth wood or an alike blocking in the back (at least for some of the area). If you need it removable you can mount the false front panel using velcro on the back side or glue it with adhesives such as PL Premium Construction Adhesive. You can also use double side tape if the back is very smooth like mdf. Magnets are also an option. Note that different attachment methods have different thickness and the back substrate that you mount must compensate for the attachment thickness.
