A meticulously hand-dyed patchwork quilt makes the perfect addition to any couch or lap. Cozy flannel is on the back of this quilt makes it wonderful for snuggling. The quality of this quilt is incredible and it will survive the test of time to be enjoyed by generations to come - a true heirloom.

My mother-in-law, Diane, machine pieced this stunning burgundy, purple, and off-white heirloom quality quilt using all fabric that she hand-dyed herself. Diane also designed this quilt herself and taught it at the 2011 Quilts by Barb Quilt Retreat. The slight variations of color in the hand-dyed fabric creates more depth in this piece.

Barb, Diane's sister, used her long arm quilting machine to do the stunning, intricate design you can see on the quilt. The center portion of the quilt shows off a lovely floral pattern with different swirls in the border. The very outer border is a larger floral design that compliments the main portion of the quilt perfectly.

The quilt is backed with a cozy, plaid flannel - a beautiful compliment to the front of the quilt.

QUILT CARE: Wash in cold cycle with a Shout color catcher in-wash sheet. Hang to dry.
