⋒ Your Art Object Will Be Unique
Each object is handmade in Philadelphia, PA USA by a women owned small business. Your item may vary slightly from the one pictured; there may be subtle variations and inclusions which are inherent in the process of handmade products. A lot more goes into making these pieces than one might think – here’s the play-by-play:
Conditioning + Color Mixing
To begin, it is important to condition the clay by rolling it out over and over again – much like kneading dough, this process can be done by hand or using a machine. During the conditioning process, we mix colors together to create completely unique colors that can’t be found anywhere else.
Creating
When the clay is fully conditioned it is rolled out to an even depth with a mindful eye to eliminate any texture or air bubbles that might present themselves. At this stage we may add more clay for a pattern effect or add some intentional texture. Once we are satisfied with the ‘slab,’ we’ll use cookie cutters to cut out various shapes that will become earring components. At stage we hand stamp each piece with our emblem and secure the earring post within the clay.
Baking
Baking is arguably the most important part of the process. Without properly curing the clay, it will be brittle and easily broken.
Finishing
We sand each component until it is smooth and soft to the touch. After each component is sanded, holes will be drilled for metal findings to connect the pieces. Each earring will get assembled with jump rings and then placed on an earring card ready and waiting to find their new forever home with you.

⋒ Care + Cleaning of Your Art Object
We use high quality elements which stand up to everyday wear and tear. Polymer clay is durable and water-resistant, but not waterproof. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to water and solvents. Use of oils, creams, perfumes etc. may affect the longevity of your art object. Your object may break if dropped, bent, stretched, or pulled. Treat these objects gently just as you would any other piece of art.
To clean clay components, rub gently with a soft, wet piece of cloth. To remove scratches, tough stains, or makeup, gently rub your piece with nail polish remover and a cotton swab.
