Would you like to present someone with a special gift? Use the Gracie Gift Bag Pattern to make a small crochet gift bag for a special present. The pattern uses a combination of basic stitches to create the lacey design. Each bag takes about 60 yards so this is a great project for using leftover skeins of yarn. It turns out the bag is the perfect size to hold a half pint mason jar or jam or other treats.

The bag uses a lace pattern that is sometimes called the thistle pattern. Each rounds contains v-stitches and shell stitches that alternate to create the lacey design. This base is more solid. Because the lace pattern goes beyond the basics, this is an appropriate pattern for a crocheter with some experience.
