These can be made in brass, copper or nickle silver.
Please Note..... that some combs, hair pins and some crowns are rough soldered By design and have been worked over by a cutting wheel then sanded. The solder is silver solder and lead free. The work done that way creates a texture to the metal, marks Do show, the solder shows, and is Not by accident. It creates what I call my "caveman style" and are not bright shiny smooth but have a softer shine and softer feel to the metal. Each one is made individually to order and due to their handmade nature, slight variations are to be expected.
# Item care #
I do not coat crowns, hair items or other jewelry with lacquer or other chemicals. They are raw metals. They can be polished with a metal cleaner or dropped in some lemon juice for a bit, toothbrush and toothpaste also polish well, don't forget to rinse or you can turn your goodies green. You may also leave the piece alone and allow the metals to achieve a patina.

Thank you for the replacement comb. I find it’s best a certain style with less tension.
The hair comb was bigger than I anticipated, I have thin hair which doesn't work with the size of the hair comb. I gave it to someone else. It's beautiful though.
This is the second time that I bought this comb set. I liked the first set so much that I wanted to have another set for my travel kit. Wickedly Wired also made them longer, which provides for a better interlocking of the combs...I love her work so much that I will buy some more of her items again!
