Polymer clay, once baked, is relatively hardy. I try to make these earrings so that they are cute, unique, and still somewhat practical so they are very lightweight and not that easy to break. However, it is still a handmade item and should be treated as such.

I recommend keeping them away from water or anything greasy such as lotions or oils. If they get dirty you can simply wipe them down with a microfiber cloth or, if they are reeeeally dirty, a touch of acetone should do the trick.

If you purchased an item with brass components, mild soapy water and a cloth can be used to gently clean the natural patina that occurs with brass jewelry.
