Handmade, Modern, GE Hope Quilt Throw
This is a handmade quilt that was made using the modern GE Hope design. This quilt was created during the Hope Quarantine Quilt Along which benefited those in need during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is made with a cheerful color palette featuring birds, flowers and small geometric shapes. It is throw size and ready to be cuddled in, perfect for future quarantines. :)
Materials:
--It is made with 100% cotton fabric, thread, batting, binding and backing.
Measurements:
--The quilt measures 63 inches by 51 inches.
Design:
--On the front of the quilt, it has pinks, reds, blues, greens and teals with floral and geometric designs. Through the center of each block is navy blue with tiny white polka dots.
--On the back of the quilt, it features gray flannel fabric with small, white, floral leaves.
--It has the same navy blue with white polka dots for the binding.
--It is quilted with straight-line quilting and free motion quilting. It has straight lines quilted on the navy fabric. It has free motion quilting forming a continuous flower and serpentine lines.
--This was pieced and quilted on a domestic home machine.
Care Instructions:
--Wash with cold water and tumble dry on low. Because it is made out of cotton, it will become softer and softer with each wash. The quilt has been washed to pre-shrink to give it a "crinkled" look.
