Traditionally a scythe was considered to be one type of symbols of time, in swift decisive moves it cuts the brittle threads of hay, and in the hands of Grim Reaper, of life, too. Sending one to the next level of existence. In classic mythology, the scythe (alongside with sickle) was associated with Saturn, the Roman god of agriculture. Thus the scythe pendant is also great choice of pendant for any farmer or farmhand.

Today the scythe is mostly associated with death. It is an excellent pendant choice for those wishing to embrace the darker side of things, or perhaps even to always look on the bright side of death. Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true (after all).

The base materials of each scythe is mild steel. The black surface comes from burning the snake in wood tar. The surface finish is clean and does not leave stains or marks to clothing or skin. Because each pendant is hand forged, the dimensions below are approximates, not two scythes are ever completely similar. Each pendant is therefore a unique piece.

This item comes supplied with a jewel cord. The jewel cord can be black or brown.
