The Gillyweeds Bottoms Up Soaker pattern produces adorable crocheted pants, capris, shorts, and "skirties" for your little one.

This pattern is easy to read and contains helpful color photos. This pattern was written using single crochet, and a form of short rows that add rise to the bum area, while blending in. This pattern is fully customizable, so you can use it with any weight yarn, on any sized child, by simply adjusting your gauge. Acrylic and cotton make easy care items, and wool makes virtually bullet proof yet adorable soakers.

There is a shorties version, a longies version, or a skirted shorties / longies version. There are four cuff options and two different skirty options available as well.

The best part is that this pattern is easily converted to half double crochet. While half double crochet is certainly completely fine for cloth diapering, and works up really fast, single crochet produces an almost bullet proof soaker!
