The Willa petticoat was designed based on an advertisement in the Simpsons catalog, published in 1918. Similar petticoats were worn throughout the mid–late 1910s.

This Petticoat was so fun to sew, and gives so much floofy volume under all my skirts! It’s an ingenious design and one I plan to wear for both volume and warmth in the coming days and future skirts. I did 10 flounce pieces in the bottom rather than 12 to save fabric, and even then, wow!!!
