Victorian Gothic filigree drops with ombre shading. Delicate brass filigree, all textured swirls and rope edges, have been antiqued and then painted in silvers, shading into pewter, then charcoal, and finally jet black. The little flower in the middle was kept clear for the brass base colour to shine through. The pieces were then coated with jewelry-grade resin to make the colours last and last. Vintage Swarovski jet black pear rhinestones sway below, and more Swarovski, faceted rondelles gleam on the fishhook earwires with teeny bronze glass rings.

All metals are antiqued brass, with the exception of those fishhook earwires, which are hypoallergenic niobium, to safeguard your delicate ears. Having metal allergies myself, I prefer not to use brass or copper.

The earrings will be individually wrapped carefully in tissue paper to prevent scratching during shipping. Then they go in a Spiral Artworks box, suitable for gift giving, which closes with a gold elastic bowtie. And then that goes into a plastic bag which then goes into a padded bubble mailer. Silicone earring backs have been added, as some people prefer them to secure the fishhook earwires.

We have a perfume and smoke free house, but do own a very large kitten. (Okay, he's a full-grown cat who INSISTS that he's a kitten.) He's now completely banned from the shipping room and we try very hard not to send out free Maine Coon furs!
