This one-of-a-kind ceramic water jar and cup (well known as Moringa in Brazil) is perfect to be placed on the bedside or on the desk to keep the water handy and fresh.

The reason I created Moringa was to remind me my childhood in Brazil. Every night before going to bed, I used to go to my mum's bedside to drink water from her Moringa. I can still feel the sense of refreshment and indulgence. The ceramic keeps the water fresh and cool for long time.

MATERIALS

White slip casted by me, I hand paint the water jar and cup with pastel pink colours with three coats of underglaze paint. After the bisque firing, I glaze inside and outside of the Moringa with a non toxic, food-safe clear glaze. After the glaze firing, I then decorate with blackberries flowers ceramic decals and pure gold ceramic decals creating an UNIQUE design. Lastly the water jar and cup are fired for the third time at lower temperature to provide strength and durability.

In the back of the water vessel, I hand painted the divine word 'love + gratitude' as a subtle way to spread seeds of love part of the concept of the collection 'Life Is'. Alternatively, you can personalise your moringa with your own word. Just let me know!

Each Moringa measures approx 16cm high and is approximately 9cm across the wider part of the jar and it holds around 500ml of fresh water.
