Make a cuddly fleece cape with colorful spines all the way down to the tail. Cape design has large dinosaur eyes with button detail. Teeth around the mouth of the hood give this cape some extra "bite"!
Cape is designed to be fully lined and with a snap closure at neck to keep cape on while your little dinosaur plays. Soft & warm design is meant to be very durable for years of enjoyment.
Cape pattern now includes TWO sizes:
- Baby fits size range 12months - 2T (hood to cape edge length: 25 in)
- Kid fits size range 3-9 years (hood to cape edge length: 28 in)
Pattern includes detailed instructions, a complete supply list and helpful tips with loads of step-by-step full color photos. PATTERN LEVEL IS INTERMEDIATE, please keep this in mind if you are new to sewing or unfamiliar with sewing with fleece. PLEASE NOTE: instructions for drawing the circular portion of the cape with a measuring tape are included rather than this portion being printable pattern pieces. The reason for this is it would require a MASSIVE quantity of printed pages and would be complicated for the user to tape together & cut out. Easy to print pattern pieces for hood, spines and eyes are included in this file.
Recommended fabric for this project is fleece - it is not recommended to substitute woven fabrics.

This pattern is so cute!! It was really easy to follow. Yes there’s not a pattern piece for the cape itself as other reviewers have stated, but the instructions for making it were very simple and laid out well. I think the only issue I ran into with it was not because of the pattern itself but because of my particular fabric choice. I used muslin instead of fleece, so I wasn’t able to stretch the hood to match the neckline. But that really wasn’t a problem at all, I just had to add a few gathers in. I modified the eyes and teeth. I haven’t topstitched it completely yet because I ran out of matching thread 😂 bu
