Shock Mounts Lounge Chair Armrest
One of the most common reasons to destroy the vintage version of the iconic lounge chair are worn and dried out shock mounts.
If they break it is dangerous for the person sitting in the chair. But also for the chair: In many cases the shell breaks. This is nearly non-repairable damage. New shell with the same veneer structure are hard to find, or, if Rio Palisander not replaceable! Shock Mounts Lounge Chair Armrest with metal threaded inserts screws included. Four shock mounts are needed for a complete lounge chair.
We urgently advise to change all 4 at once. Many of our customer order one or two shock mounts at the first order, and some weeks later the other! There is a high risk to break the back rest shell, if the shock mount breaks suddenly!!!
All you need repair set includes:
4 lounge chair shock mounts
+ 8 screws
+ 1 Adhesive (24ml | enough for mounting 4 shock mounts)
+ 1 Mixing Tube Nozzle for convenient uniformly mixed amounts of each component!
+ 2 pieces of sandpaper 120
+ 1 Pair of gloves Because of the virus crisis we unfortunately can't get gloves at the moment!!!
+ 1 mixing stick for mixing the adhesive
All Shock Mounts sets are professionally made from elastic Neoprene Rubber, like the Original! Not made of polyurethane!! Not metal bracket on wood! Full elastic Neoprene rubber to keep the seating comfort on an elastic lounge chair!

!!! Please read !!!: Hints on 2-compound glue ++click++
Please degrease all parts with Acetone (NOT nail polish remover!). Do not use alcohol, thinner or similar! Professional gluing is degreased with acetone!
PLEASE NOTE: Our glue is manufacturer tested with Herman Miller and Vitra shells and works fine!
But we had some glue issues with Chinese fake chairs, where the glue didn't stick. The glue manufacturer told us it may come from acid of plywood.
If you have a fake chair please find your own glue. You can try with ours, but we are not responsible if our glue don't work!
