This recipe box will bring back memories of a time when every kitchen had a small box that held those treasured family recipe's. It is made of Cherry wood with a Danish Oil finish. Inlaid in the top is a thin ribbon of maple, and the cover is hinged with brass "slot hinges" .Measuring 6" long x3 1/2" wide x 4" tall, this box holds 3 x 5 cards and will make a wonderful gift for someone who truly enjoys cooking, and or collecting recipe's. I fondly remember the box my dad built for my mom when they were newly weds. it was made from Pine, with my mom's initials on the front and painted white. My mom is 90 now and still has that box on the counter in her kitchen. If you would like this box engraved, I can do that for $6.00. ( alphabetized dividers are not included)

The box arrived packaged very well, probably impossible to see it damaged in shipping. The construction quality is great, the finish and choice of woods are fantastic together, looks like a perfect box to last decades. David did a special engraving and shipped the box quicker than I would have expected. Just a real pleasure to deal with.
