About the Artist
Julie Leidel is a Colorado-based Roycroft Master Artisan whose original gouache paintings are inspired by the vintage charm of WPA-era National Park posters, early 1900s travel art, and the soulful philosophy of the Arts & Crafts Movement. Her work celebrates the landscapes of Colorado and the American West through a style that blends historic travel poster design with contemporary fine art. Julie’s artwork often features Colorado destinations, and Rocky Mountain landscapes, capturing the timeless spirit of the region. Julie hand-paints the original painting in gouache, a richly pigmented, chalk-enhanced watercolor medium known for its vibrant color and velvety matte finish.

These open-edition giclée prints are high-resolution reproductions of Julie’s original, one-of-a-kind paintings. Each reproduction is created using museum-quality printing methods so the artwork retains the color, depth, and character of the original gouache painting.
